Job description

The Director of Global Strategic Sourcing is responsible for continuously improving and executing on the strategy of CSG’s world-class procurement function.  This role will collaborate across all business units within CSG.  This leader must have the interest and ability to work cross functionally with stakeholders across the entire enterprise to ensure that business objectives and strategies are achieved. 

We are looking for a Director of Global Strategic Sourcing who will:

  • Deliver on product-specific supplier related projects and programs globally to deliver increased value (savings, delivery, terms) using a defined purchasing playbook.  This includes financial analysis and negotiation of business terms (price, deliverables, timing, service level agreements, payment structure); and collaboration with internal leaders and subject matter experts to position GSS as a trusted, strategic partner across the enterprise.

  • Conduct regular contract review meetings with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure supplier performance is meeting expectations, contractual commitments, and service levels and that any concerns are communicated in a timely manner ensuring the avoidance of service disruption and stakeholder satisfaction.

  • Provide advice on all procurement related issues and discuss detailed contractual issues on a wide and varied portfolio with stakeholders to ensure that contractual terms and obligations are fully understood, both financial, operational, and supply risks are minimized, and stakeholders fully understand and remain in compliance with finance, legal, and procurement procedures.

  • Cultivate a strong team environment and a strong service culture that ensures delivery of timely and quality services to all customers and meets service level agreements.    

  • Manage the Onboarding and Vendor Management program including scorecards and business reviews to drive operational performance, compliance, pricing improvement, and overall supplier relationship health. 

  • Manage the sourcing team covering all required commodity types to include network, maintenance and support, hardware, software, business expense.

  • Verify the relevance of the sourcing strategy by consulting with leaders, understanding external market trends, monitoring business conditions and priorities, being attentive to business objectives and continually validating, evolving, and adjusting the suitability of the functions’ strategic objectives to ensure alignment. 

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience

  • 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, or related position

  • Previous experience leading and managing a team

  • Experience working in a matrixed business environment, leading multiple commitments and collaborators while prioritizing conflicting demands, maintaining focus on the objective, and providing high quality service to both internal and external partners

  • Specific experience in leading large, complex sourcing projects and supporting Senior Leadership on development of the sourcing strategy, management of risks and issues and the execution of the project to deliver the greatest value for money for the organization

  • Developing and executing clear category management, strategic sourcing, procurement, and cost reduction strategies

  • Ability to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 10%

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in a business environment

Position Pay Range:

This range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to geographical location and experience.

$126,547.51-$202,476.22

This role is eligible for a bonus opportunity.
