Are you a dynamic IT leader with a passion for innovation in healthcare technology? True Rx Health Strategists is seeking an experienced Solutions Architect to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) solutions. As a Solutions Architect, you'll lead the design and implementation of cutting-edge IT systems that drive efficiency, enhance performance, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

As the Solutions Architect, you'll architect and design end-to-end IT solutions that support a wide range of PBM functions, from claims processing and eligibility to formulary management and pharmacy network services. You'll work alongside business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to ensure the successful implementation of these solutions while maintaining alignment with our strategic goals.

100% Remote except in-office as needed for meetings and trainings

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect & Design Solutions: Develop end-to-end IT solutions to support PBM/vendor implementations & operations, including claims processing, eligibility, formulary management, and pharmacy network services.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical expertise and architectural guidance to development teams, ensuring best practices in system design, security, and scalability.
• Integration Strategy: Design and oversee API, streaming, and system integration strategies to ensure seamless data exchange across internal and external platforms, including health plans, providers, and pharmacies.
• Compliance & Security: Ensure solutions comply with industry regulations (HIPAA, HITECH, SOC 2) and implement security best practices.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business leaders, product managers, QA, Operations, and IT teams to translate business needs into actionable technical solutions.
• Technology Evaluation: Assess emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend and implement innovative solutions that drive efficiency and competitive advantage.
• Documentation & Standards: Develop and maintain architectural standards, best practices, and technical documentation.

What You Bring:

• Experience: 7+ years in IT architecture, with at least 3 years in a PBM, healthcare, or payer environment.
• Technical Expertise:
• Cloud computing (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven designs
• Healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, EDI)
• Database technologies (SQL, NoSQL)
• Enterprise integration patterns, ETL, middleware solutions
• Security frameworks and compliance standards (HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST, SOC 2)
• Soft Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Analytical Mindset: A natural systems thinker with logical and critical problem-solving skills.
