The Sr. Presales Business Manager (Sr. PBM) manages the development and implementation of the presale process for public safety solutions. You will coordinate departmental and cross functional teams, focused on delivering accurate and timely proposals. The Sr. PBM manages projects from identification of the presale opportunity and proposal inception to transition of the project to the post sale team. PBM's are working with the other business groups, these key individuals are responsible for identifying upcoming opportunities, evaluating requirements, identifying specific statements of work, producing detailed project schedules & ensuring the proposed customer solution will be implemented with the best possible strategy.
We are looking for a Land Mobile Radio technology specialist with consulting and sales experience in the areas of strategic planning, solution development, technical business enablement and process management to join our dynamic and fast-growing team.
The Sr. PBM will provide total presale solution ownership as the overall presale team business leader and manage the overall project business for his/her assigned projects. In this role, Sr. PBM holds accountability for:
Presale business strategy
Development of the implementation approach and service plan necessary to win the project
Meet/exceeding customer requirements and provide value alternatives when requirements cannot be met
Manage to Motorola’s sales, revenue and margin goals
Drive all sole source RFP (Request for Proposal) projects to completion managing the schedules of each project team member (engineering, proposal specialist, sales, and service).
The Sr. Presales PBM coordinates with the various functional teams (Systems Integration, Service, Sales, Product Groups) to ensure all business units goals are addressed in our proposals and win-strategies.
Specific Knowledge/Skills:
Develop trusted relationships with work partners and customers
Conduct internal and external presentations
Assist Sales and Customer with specific market strategies
Develop overall implementation approach, service strategy and proposal plan
Manage the development and implementation of the entire presale process focused on delivering accurate and timely proposals.
Issue RFQs (Request for Quote) for third-party content and negotiate for best cost- benefit to Motorola Solutions
Location & Travel Requirements:
Travel will be up to 25% of the time. This travel (car and air) will be within the territory with occasional travel outside the territory.
Ideal candidates will reside in Colorado, Arizona, or Texas
Target Base Salary Range: $74,000 - $148,400 USD
