About The Role

At Infinite Ranges, we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Writer with experience in Training Content Development and Training Delivery. This role involves collaborating with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), creating instructional materials, managing training logistics, and delivering impactful training sessions for end-users. You’ll be pivotal in ensuring that all documentation is clear, accurate, and user-focused, while continuously improving the training process.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Training Content Development
    • Craft user manuals, Programs of Instruction (POIs), quick-reference cards, and presentation slide decks.
    • Collaborate with SMEs and project teams to gather system requirements, workflows, and configuration details.
    • Refine materials based on feedback from pilot sessions and SME reviews for final delivery.
  • Project Planning & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Conduct kickoff meetings with stakeholders to confirm scope, timelines, communication protocols, and success criteria.
    • Finalize project plans, manage feature freeze dates, and monitor training milestones.
    • Align project deliverables with organizational objectives and ensure all documentation is up to date.
  • Training Delivery & Facilitation
    • Lead trainer orientations and provide hands-on, classroom, and device-based training for up to 140 end-users (primarily soldiers).
    • Handle training logistics, including venue setup, attendance tracking, and feedback collection.
    • Provide on-site support for training sessions, ensuring effective learning outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement & Evaluation
    • Track training attendance and gather participant feedback.
    • Synthesize feedback to continuously improve training materials and methods.
    • Work with SMEs to address user challenges and system enhancements.
  • Documentation & Compliance
    • Author and maintain user manuals for multiple software applications.
    • Ensure documentation follows organizational style guides, branding, and security protocols.
    • Stay up to date with system changes through regular software reviews.
What We Want To See:

  • Required Qualifications:
    • Active Secret Clearance
    • Proven experience in creating training content and facilitating software training.
    • Strong background in education, instructional design, or technology, with knowledge of adult learning principles.
    • Experience creating user-focused documentation, including manuals, quick references, and slide decks.
    • Excellent project management and organizational skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work with diverse teams and SMEs.
    • Proficiency with common training delivery tools such as LMS platforms, presentation software, and collaboration tools.
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • Familiarity with military or government workflows and documentation standards.
    • Experience in conducting large-scale training events and providing on-site user support.
    • Knowledge of technical writing best practices and version control for documentation.
    • Ability to use feedback loops to continuously improve training content.
