DevOps Engineer

This position is based at our Linden, NJ facility with the posibility of remote work .

As a DevOps Engineer at FreshRealm , you will play a crucial role in enhancing our development and operational efficiency. You will work closely with our development, IT, and operations teams to build and maintain the infrastructure required for continuous integration and delivery, automated deployments, and monitoring of our sy stems. Your work will ensure that our applications and services are reliable, scalable, and secure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI /CD pipelines to support our development and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and other IT staff to manage code releases.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of our infrastructure.
• Automate operational processes, including build, deployment, monitoring, and management.
• Maintain and enhance our cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Implement and manage containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Ensure security and compliance of the infrastructure by implementing best practices and tools.
• Develop and maintain scripts for automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Collaborate with development teams to help them adopt DevOps practices and tools.
• Participate in on-call rotations to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
• Our stack: AWS (RDS, EC2, ElastiCache , VPC, S3, CloudWatch, Route 53, CloudFront, CloudTrail, ELB, ECS for Kubernetes, Direct Connect, Kinesis, Lambda, API Gateway, Directory Service, ECR, Key Management Service, Systems Manager, SQS, SNS). Kubernetes (Helm, Linkerd ), Docker, Terraform, Jenkins. Azure( AKS, App Services, Azure SQL,Entra ID, Key Vault)
  
  

Qualifications

Skills and Requirements

• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Proficiency with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of network protocols, security practices, and system administration.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or Datadog.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  
  

Experience / Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a DevOps, SRE, or similar role.
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI , or Azure DevOps.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
