Lead and manage all aspects of multiple, larger and more highly complex information technology (IT) products and/or strategic initiatives. Leads and grows managers and developers, build agile teams, provide people development and organizational development opportunities, partners with business stakeholders to understand Product roadmap and sets up teams for success to deliver on their commitments. Champions a culture of innovation, collaboration and empowered teams and individuals. Participate in the development of policies, procedures, standards and controls. workload planning.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES
- Lead multiple complex projects and/or technology initiatives; manages related teams, sets organizational priorities, and allocates resources
- Mentor associates within the department and continually develop project team competencies.
- Perform strategic planning and maintain alignment, of projects, with both RGA's strategic direction and application architecture
- Develop and maintain effective business relationships, coordinating service delivery in line with negotiated Service Commitments.
- Manage the business partner's application portfolio by understanding and communicating needs to internal IT project teams and external vendors
- Collaborate with business partners to ensure properly defined and communicated project requests.
- Maintain current knowledge of industry practices, trends and applications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or equivalent experience
Preferred
- Master’s degree in Arts/Sciences (MA/MS) and/or LOMA certification
EXPERIENCE
Required
- 10+ years experience in project management, programming, or systems analysis.
- 2+ years management experience and/or technical leadership in IT
- 5+ years people management and team leadership experience

- Highly advanced project management skills, demonstrating ability to evaluate project objectives and scope, analyzes objectives for feasibility, and gain business understanding.
- Highly advanced people management skills, demonstrating the ability to lead, mentor, and develop associates; including the ability to delegate key areas of responsibility
- Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines and stressful conditions
- Advanced oral and written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to convey business terminology that is meaningful and well received. Advanced ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional and technical disciplines
- Advanced ability to manage multiple projects and/or teams simultaneously
- Advanced persuasion and negotiating skills when working with internal/external customers
- Knowledge of modern programming languarges. Knowldge of Agile methodoligies; IT Infrastructure
- PeopleSoft tools; relational/NoSQL; Sharepoint; MS Reporting Services; MS Analysis Services; PeopleSoft FCM/HCM; Axis/MoSes; PMI knowledge
Preferred
- Insurance and/or reinsurance industry knowledge
- Multi-lingual skills

Compensation Range
$123,500.00 - $184,050.00 Annual
Base pay varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and market location. In addition, RGA provides an annual bonus plan that includes all roles and some positions are eligible for participation in our long-term equity incentive plan. RGA also maintains a full range of health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
