Embedded within our network of affiliated OBGYN provider practices, this offers patients an intimate and familiar in-office environment, offering a convenient one stop solution for well-women visits and annual screening mammograms.
Unified Mammography Services is seeking a Regional Lead Mammography Technologist for its Mammography offices at affiliated practices in Michigan.
The Lead Mammography Technologist will be a working covering care center technologist when required. Responsible for the clinical quality of Mammography Technologist as well as performing 2D and 3D digital mammography procedures to assist in the diagnosis of disease or injury when needed. Must have good knowledge and understanding of the mammography QC requirements to meet the MQSA and State regulations. Must have the ability to train others in Positioning and Quality Control. Ensures clinical workflows are followed by clinical staff. Must be able to work independently without supervision, have excellent problem-solving skills. Works closely with Breast Imaging Operations Manager to ensure a high level of quality and service is delivered to all organizational customers. Liaison between technologists and operations manager.
This role involves extensive travel, accounting for over 75% of the time, with destinations including but not limited to Illinois and Minnesota.

Responsibilities
Take Mammographic Images including Post Processes Mammographic Images
Train new and existing staff in positioning and Quality control
Complete Patient Information Requirements
Interact with Radiologist regarding clinical quality
Pre inspection review MQSA and FDA Quality Control Requirements
Answer Calls and Questions about Mammography Services
Additional job Functions:
All other job requests as assigned by Breast Imaging Operations Manager or Care Center Administrator
Ability to travel between locations to support staff needs
Actively participates in the training of mammography technologists and mammography assistants
Participates in policy and workflow changes
Develops and maintains staff schedules
Reviews the quality control for mammography locations quarterly and prior to all MQSA inspections.
Qualifications
Requires a expert knowledge of the equipment QC requirements and documentation required for MQSA and State regulations.
Must ensure equipment is functioning properly and take appropriate action if necessary.
Interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively interact with physicians, other facility staff, patients and families when providing instructions or responding to question or exchanging patient-related information.
Analytical skills are also necessary to conduct mammography exams and review images for accuracy and quality, verify patient information, and perform Mammography exams while limiting radiation exposure.
Requires the ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail when conducting or assisting with mammographic or radiologic procedures.
Must also complete necessary medical records information to include consents, billing charges, and monitor supply levels.
Must meet continuing experience and continuing education required by MQSA.
Requires a current State Mammography License
Must have current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
(ARRT (R) (M)).
Requires 5 years of performing mammography and quality control experience
