Unified Women's Healthcare is seeking a Senior Network Engineer who will work in a dynamic environment to collaborate with multiple platform teams across several enterprise lines of business. Your primary responsibilities include coordinating a collaborative effort across the enterprise in private cloud/hybrid cloud strategy and architecture to deliver the best technical solution across multiple initiatives, with a strong preference for solutions developed with an automation mindset. You will provide influence and collaborate with your peers and business partners in the development and execution of our hybrid cloud strategy.
Responsibilities
Lead and participate in critical enterprise-wide projects, design and implement high-availability systems, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Design, configure, and install network devices and equipment, such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, etc.
Monitor and analyze network performance and traffic and optimize network resources and capacity.
Lead and participate in the day-to-day operations of maintaining network stability and performance by responding to alerts and engaging with service providers.
Implement and enforce network security policies and best practices, and perform regular network audits and assessments.
Resolve complex network problems and incidents, and be a point of escalation when necessary.
Document network architecture, configuration, and procedures, and maintain network inventory and asset management.
Research and evaluate new network technologies and solutions, and recommend network upgrades and enhancements.
Designing and implementing systems with high availability, with the goal to avoid unintentional downtime and mitigate service interruptions.
Lead/Participate in critical enterprise-wide projects as we expand our capabilities through our various private and public cloud initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
Certification in Palo Alto technologies such as PCNSA or PCNSE.
At least 5 years of proven experience as a network engineer or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of network protocols, standards, and architectures, such as TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, VLAN, VPN, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, etc.
Proficient in network device configuration and administration, using tools such as Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto Firewalls and Panorama, Juniper Mist and Extreme Networks
Experience with network monitoring and analysis tools, such as SolarWinds, Wireshark, etc.
Experience with network security tools and techniques, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, encryption, etc.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
