Benefits Claims Coordinator!
About The Role
As a Benefits Claims Coordinator, you will be responsible for data entry for multiple areas within the Excess Loss Claims Department. You will also review data received through the benefits email account to prioritize and for entry per departmental guidelines. As a Benefits Claim Coordinator, you will support the Excess Loss Examiners, Medical Risk Consultants and Aggregate Examiners.
What You Will Do
- Enter claim requests, potential claim notices and aggregate reports within designated areas of claim system within department turnaround goals. Add or update data elements within the claims system
- Review potential claim notices cost containment opportunities and refer to Medical Risk Consultants or Cost Containment specialist
- Review and identify different document types (including but not limited to excess loss claims, potential high dollar claim notices, aggregate reports and aggregate claims) in assigned email folder. Prioritize the importance of each document within department turnaround goals
- Create and maintain organizational electronic filing system
- Manage multiple secure sites with passwords
- Prepare and review daily check log for the Benefits division which is reviewed by the mail department
- Review and investigate check log for potential issues
- Print explanation of reimbursements for the excess loss claim department
- Distribute returned (voided) checks from the mail room to examiners
- Interact and support the mail room with check disbursement
- Provide check status inquiry support and stale dated check investigations
- Work on special assignments and perform other related support duties as requested

Compensation
Hourly Range: $21.00 – $28.24 plus eligibility for annual bonus program
Your Experience And Skills
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- Three to five years’ experience in an office setting with related experience, including administrative and/or customer service
- Background in reinsurance or first-dollar medical claim experience preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong data entry and computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to exercise judgment
- Strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Reliable and dependable team player
- High level of follow up and responsiveness
- Customer service oriented
- Continuous learner with a desire to grow
