Job Summary

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Principal Presales Solutions Architect at Argano plays a vital role focusing on providing strategic technical leadership and innovation to the presales team. This position requires in depth knowledge and profound expertise in enterprise systems and full lifecycle of analysis, design, software development, architecture, integration, testing and deployments. They are responsible for shaping the direction of technical sales initiatives and creating advanced, forward-thinking solutions and work directly with the Argano’s sales team to assist in qualifying existing and prospective client technical needs, developing and presenting client solutions, assisting with proposals and promoting Argano’s solutions and services to key clients. They provide technical leadership to only large-size prospects and partners to help them understand advantages of Argano’s offerings and solutions to meet their business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic discussions with existing and prospective clients to define complex technical requirements and long-term goals.
  • Develop and present innovative, visionary solutions that align with client objectives.
  • Act as a technical thought leader within the organization and industry.
  • Engage directly with clients to understand and solve technical and business challenges, leveraging Argan’s broad array of solutions and services.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and sales team to shape the company's technical sales direction.
  • Contribute to the development of company-wide strategies for product and service enhancements.
  • Stay at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape.
  • Act as a liaison between product development teams and clients to drive innovation and product roadmap development.

Education

MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Technical, Business, etc. preferred.
  • Master’s degree or PhD in computer science or software engineering preferred.

Experience

  • 10+ years of total experience in a pre-sales, solutions architect, technical solutions, or technical sales role.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce Revenue Cloud (CPQ + Billing) implementations or solution architecture.
  • Experience working in senior technical roles such as enterprise architect, solution architect, solution lead.
  • Deep Enterprise Platform knowledge and experience.
  • Experience working directly with large-scale enterprise clients and/or supporting sales, and success teams.
  • Deep experience supporting CPQ + Billing, or Revenue Cloud Advanced (RCA) sales pursuits including running scoping discussions with prospects and clients, designing solution concepts, creating effort estimates, and creating and delivering proposal presentations.
  • Designing and driving customer proof of concepts, prototypes, and product demonstrations
  • Demonstrated success working directly with senior stakeholders at enterprise customers.
  • Ability to convey complex technical solutions to executive audiences.
  • Proven track record of technically leading commercially successful software products.
  • Experience working in projects that delivered the full lifecycle of analysis, design, software development, architecture, integration, testing and deployments.

Technical Skills

  • Salesforce Revenue Cloud Advanced (RCA) & CPQ Expertise: Strong understanding of product catalog setup, complex pricing models (block, usage-based, tiered), discounting strategies, guided selling, contract lifecycle management, and approval workflows.
  • Salesforce Billing & Revenue Management: Knowledge of subscription, usage billing, invoice automation, revenue recognition (ASC 606/IFRS 15), contract amendments, renewals, asset lifecycle management, consumption management and proration logic.
  • Integration & Data Management: Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST/SOAP), middleware tools (MuleSoft, Dell Boomi), Order and Billing integrations into ERP (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), microservices architecture, and third-party tax/payment solutions (Avalara, Stripe, PayPal).
  • Solution Design & Customization: Proficiency in declarative automation (Flows, Approval Processes), custom objects/fields, data migration strategies, and security governance within Salesforce.
  • Strong analytical skills

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Must Have – Admin, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ Specialist.
  • Preferred – Advanced Admin, Platform App Builder, Application or System Architect.
  • SaaS, and High-Tech industry specific knowledge where subscription and usage-based revenue models are prevalent.

  • Complex Solutions: Proficiency in designing and presenting complex, multi-product solutions.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, understand their needs, and offer tailored solutions.
  • Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation skills to close deals with high-value clients.
