Director Strategic Alliances – SAP Business Unit

Job Summary

The Director Strategic Alliances at Argano plays an important role in identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships and alliances with key technology vendors, service providers, and industry organizations. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the technical landscape, strong relationship-building skills, and a proven track record of driving successful partnerships that deliver mutual value and drive business growth. This position involves setting strategic direction, building key relationships, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver results.

The Director, Strategic Alliances - SAP, will support and drive our partnership with SAP, specifically focusing on the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Customer Experience (CX), RISE and GROW. This role will report directly to the Business Unit President and will be instrumental in developing and executing strategies to strengthen our relationship with SAP, grow our business pipeline, and enhance Argano’s brand within the SAP ecosystem.

Responsibilities

Partnership Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to strengthen Argano’s partnership with SAP, focusing on SAP ERP, SCM, CX, RISE and GROW platforms.
  • Support other divisions of our organization as needed, aligning with SAP’s broad range of enterprise solutions.
  • Identify and prioritize key growth opportunities within the SAP ecosystem.
  • Drive joint go-to-market strategies, including solution alignment, market positioning, and leveraging SAP’s vast technology stack.

Business Development And Pipeline Generation

  • Leverage SAP’s ecosystem to source and develop new business leads.
  • Collaborate with SAP account teams to identify new business opportunities and build a strong sales pipeline.
  • Work closely with Argano’s sales and marketing teams to drive lead generation, business development, and opportunity sourcing efforts.

Partner Ecosystem Management

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with key SAP stakeholders, including product, sales, and marketing teams.
  • Ensure Argano is aligned with SAP’s strategic initiatives and market focus.
  • Represent Argano at SAP events, conferences, and partner meetings to enhance our visibility and brand.
  • Cultivate current relationships with SAP independent software vendors (ISV) and other partners, while identifying new opportunities to grow our ISV network.

Brand And Marketing Support

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute campaigns, demand generation activities, and award submissions.
  • Create compelling business development concepts and strategies to elevate Argano’s presence within the SAP ecosystem.
  • Drive co-branded marketing initiatives with SAP to promote joint successes, leveraging SAP’s global brand.

Operational Excellence

  • Utilize advanced Excel skills for reporting, data analysis, and tracking progress against key partnership metrics.
  • Have a keen understanding of Salesforce (or equivalent CRM tools) and dashboards to measure success within the SAP ecosystem.
  • Support Argano’s internal teams with strategic insights and partnership enablement, ensuring seamless collaboration and alignment.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred but not required).

Experience

  • 7-10+ years in alliances, partnerships, or business development roles within the SAP ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated deep and long-standing relationships within the SAP ecosystem (e.g., sales, business development, alliances, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, SAP’s ERP, SCM, CX, RISE and GROW platforms, and an understanding of SAP’s partner programs and lead development strategies.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and dashboard creation.
  • Strong understanding of the SAP partner ecosystem and its key stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute successful partnership strategies with SAP.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship management, and problem-solving abilities.

Skill Requirements

  • Strategic Leadership: Provide strategic direction and oversight for all alliance programs and initiatives. Align alliance strategies with overall business objectives and company vision. Lead the development and implementation of alliance frameworks and governance structures.
  • Leadership Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with leadership-level at partner organizations. Represent the company at industry events and conferences to enhance visibility and network with potential partners. Negotiate and finalize partnership agreements at the highest levels.
  • Revenue Generation and Business Growth: Drive significant revenue growth through strategic partnerships and alliances. Identify new revenue opportunities and innovative ways to monetize partnerships. Develop and implement joint go-to-market strategies to maximize sales opportunities.
  • Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and legal requirements in alliance engagements. Mitigate risks associated with partnerships through proactive risk management strategies. Monitor and address any compliance issues that may arise during alliance activities.
