Job Summary

The Director of Delivery Excellence and Program Management (PMO) at Argano is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction, execution, and delivery of program and project management services across the SAP Business Unit. This role ensures that all projects (which may include Private / Public Cloud SAP S4 implementations, Digital Supply Chain, Ariba, Customer Experience and Business Consulting engagements) or projects that align with the company's business objectives, adhere to client agreements, meet expected quality standards, and are delivered on time and within budget. The Director will proactively collaborate with senior leadership to drive continuous improvement across the SAP Business Unit. This exciting role requires a dynamic consulting leader who possess effective communication and problem-solving skills, is a self-starter and can manage and coach others.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the PMO strategy in alignment with the company's goals.
• Establish and maintain project management methodologies, standards, and tools.
• Lead the development of project management best practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Understands SAP Activate implementation methodology and how best to apply it to ensure delivery success.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of a large portfolio of complex projects and programs.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Monitor project performance, manage risks, and ensure effective resource allocation.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to understand strategic priorities and project requirements.
• Facilitate communication between project teams, stakeholders, and senior management.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and ensures satisfaction with project outcomes.
• Lead and mentor a team of project managers and support staff.
• Provide guidance and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the PMO, across the business unit, and across Argano.
• Develop and implement metrics to measure project performance and PMO effectiveness.
• Analyze project data and provide regular reports to senior leadership.
• Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
• Manage the allocation and utilization of project resources.
• Ensure the availability of skilled personnel and appropriate tools for project execution.
• Ensure resource optimization and budget control across projects.
• Forecast and report on project financials to senior management.
• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in project management and SAP methodologies.
  
  

Education

MINIMUM AND/OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  
  

Experience

• 10+ years of experience in project management
• Proven track record of managing large-scale projects and programs including at least 5 full life cycle SAP S4 implementations
• 5+ years of people management experience including leading large teams with multiple direct and indirect reports
• Experience managing on and offshore teams for delivery success
• Demonstrated experience leading project management function.
• In-depth experience in financial and budget management
• Experience developing and implementing a strategic vision in alignment with the organization's objectives.
• Deep experience of SAP Activate Methodology as well as other implementation methodologies.

Strong understanding of project lifecycle and project documentation. Experience utilizing the latest technology (AI) to proactively monitor and improve project health.
• Quality Assurance: Strong focus on maintaining quality standards and compliance. Proficiency in risk management and mitigation strategies. Knowledge of quality assurance processes and methodologies.
• Escalation and Change Order Management: Manage proper internal communication to Argano leadership team and stakeholders, ensuring appropriate internal and external escalation processes are followed. Resolve escalations while keeping Argano Delivery Leadership team informed.
• Financial Acumen: Ability to manage project budgets and financial forecasting. Proficiency in cost-benefit analysis and resource allocation. Knowledge of financial reporting and analysis.
• Technical Expertise: Familiarity with the latest technology trends and tools in the SAP ecosystem. Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC). Experience in managing IT projects and technology implementations.
