As the Senior Financial Analyst at 7shifts, you will play a key role in shaping revenue forecasting and analysis by identifying opportunities, risks, and historical trends while supporting ad hoc analyses. Reporting to the Manager, FP&A, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, delivering insights and analyses that drive strategic decision-making.

We’re building an inclusive work environment that is representative of the diverse industry we have the pleasure of serving and encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply.

What you’ll do:

  • Create, maintain, and improve complex revenue models to forecast revenue and assess business performance
  • Support business leaders with accurate revenue projections for budgeting and financial planning
  • Analyze and report on revenue trends, variances, and key metrics; identifying and investigate discrepancies or anomalies in revenue data
  • Prepare monthly and ad-hoc revenue reports, presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations for revenue optimization, evaluating the financial impact of new business initiatives, pricing strategies, and promotional activities
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of revenue analysis
  • Support financial modelling needs for special projects, including financings
  • Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and ongoing updates of the FP&A system

What you bring:

  • 4+ years of experience in finance, including 2+ years of experience in revenue planning and analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets including pivot tables, v-lookups, and macros
  • Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present complex analyses, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Proven ability to thrive in both independent and collaborative settings within a fast-paced environment
  • Experience collaborating cross-functionally and building strong stakeholder relationships to drive alignment and business impact
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and process-driven, with a focus on efficiency and process improvement

It’d be even cooler if you had:

  • Experience in the SaaS industry
  • Completion of a professional designation (i.e. CPA, CFA, MBA)
  • Experience with financial systems, FP&A tools, and Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Abacum Pigment, Vena Solutions, Xero, Netsuite, SQL, Thoughtspot, etc.)
  • Experience implementing or maintaining FP&A Systems
