Senior Financial Analyst at 7shifts: Team Management for Restaurants

As the Senior Financial Analyst at 7shifts, you will play a key role in shaping revenue forecasting and analysis by identifying opportunities, risks, and historical trends while supporting ad hoc analyses. Reporting to the Manager, FP&A, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, delivering insights and analyses that drive strategic decision-making.

What you’ll do:

Create, maintain, and improve complex revenue models to forecast revenue and assess business performance
Support business leaders with accurate revenue projections for budgeting and financial planning
Analyze and report on revenue trends, variances, and key metrics; identifying and investigate discrepancies or anomalies in revenue data
Prepare monthly and ad-hoc revenue reports, presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights and recommendations for revenue optimization, evaluating the financial impact of new business initiatives, pricing strategies, and promotional activities
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of revenue analysis
Support financial modelling needs for special projects, including financings
Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and ongoing updates of the FP&A system

What you bring:

4+ years of experience in finance, including 2+ years of experience in revenue planning and analysis
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets including pivot tables, v-lookups, and macros
Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively present complex analyses, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership
Proven ability to thrive in both independent and collaborative settings within a fast-paced environment
Experience collaborating cross-functionally and building strong stakeholder relationships to drive alignment and business impact
Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and process-driven, with a focus on efficiency and process improvement

It’d be even cooler if you had:

Experience in the SaaS industry
Completion of a professional designation (i.e. CPA, CFA, MBA)
Experience with financial systems, FP&A tools, and Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Abacum Pigment, Vena Solutions, Xero, Netsuite, SQL, Thoughtspot, etc.)
Experience implementing or maintaining FP&A Systems
