Technical Writer

Work Setup and Location: Remote, Philippines

Work Schedule: Mid Shift, 3:00PM - 12:00AM PHT, Monday - Friday

Experience Level: 3-5 years

Contract Basis: Freelance Contract, 1-month (possibly renewable)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Functional Specification Documentation:

• Write detailed Functional Specification Documents for Web and Mobile apps by extracting technical details from Requirements Documentation and API Specs documentation.

• Work with tools like Figma and Confluence to create flowcharts, process flows, and technical mappings/specs for software.
• Collaborate as part of an Agile team to ensure comprehensive and accurate documentation.

• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA teams, business analysts, and UX designers.
• Ensure all documentation is clear, concise, and user-friendly.

Requirements

Required Skills and Attributes:

• Experience:
• 6 years of experience in creating and managing technical documentation for software development projects.
• Proficient in end-to-end documentation lifecycle management.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Expertise in creating use case diagrams, user stories, and cross-functional flowcharts.
• Developed comprehensive Software Requirement Specifications (SRS) and process flow diagrams.
• Authored API documentation and high-level architecture diagrams for microservices-based platforms and RESTful APIs.
• Tools:
• Experienced in using Figma, Adobe XD, Microsoft Office, and Confluence.
• Proficient in maintaining document repositories with version control and ensuring alignment with Agile methodologies.
• Communication Skills:
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ability to convey complex data insights in a clear and concise manner.
• Attention to Detail:
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in documentation and analysis.
• Ability to identify and correct errors to maintain data integrity.
