The role

The Senior Engineering Manager provides tactical and strategic leadership, overseeing and guiding multidisciplinary team members across multiple concurrent projects. You should have a strong technical and managerial background, proven problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead with both technical expertise and organizational efficiency. A results-driven mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Collaborate with business customers, stakeholders, external partners, and internal teams to implement, evolve, and support software and system components within Blip's infrastructure.
  • Define and communicate strategies, roadmaps, dependencies, and plans while owning the product lifecycle and managing delivery risks.
  • Oversee technical resources, capacity planning, and budget adherence to ensure efficient project execution.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, maintaining strong relationships with Senior Managers across PPB and other divisions.
  • Lead and develop multi-disciplinary software teams, coaching managers, conducting performance reviews, and supporting career growth.
  • Promote a high-quality, results-driven culture with accountability and engagement at its core.
  • Act as the primary liaison between delivery teams and key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
  • Drive process improvements through automation, standards implementation, and best practices.
  • Prioritize tasks across all project phases, ensuring timely delivery with a strong focus on productivity, velocity, and quality.
What You’ll Bring
  • Proven experience leading and managing teams in complex software projects using agile methodologies.
  • Expertise in distributed, redundant, and transactional systems, along with their testing and quality assurance.
  • Strong analytical skills to identify and address technical risks, issues, and constraints.
  • Ability to effectively manage multidisciplinary teams and align project tasks with individual career development.
  • Demonstrated leadership in motivating teams, setting high standards, and fostering a professional, results-driven environment.
  • Excellent project management, prioritization, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese, with outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A collaborative mindset focused on maximizing team and departmental performance.
