Direct Client Requirements
Role:- ELK Administrator & Implementation Engineer
Location: SFO or Remote

Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience with ELK administration and implementation
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced ELK Stack Administrator to join our team immediately. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana (ELK) for implementation, administration, and optimization. This role involves configuring, managing, and troubleshooting ELK clusters to support real-time log analysis, monitoring, and security solutions.
Key Responsibilities:

Deploy, configure, and manage ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Beats) across environments
Monitor and optimize Elasticsearch clusters for performance, scalability, and resilience
Develop and implement Logstash pipelines for log ingestion, transformation, and enrichment
Set up Kibana dashboards and visualizations to meet business monitoring requirements
Ensure ELK stack security with authentication, role-based access, and encryption
Troubleshoot performance issues and optimize queries, indexing, and cluster configurations
Automate ELK deployments using Ansible, Terraform, or other automation tools
Integrate ELK stack with third-party tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, SIEM solutions)
Implement data retention, backup, and recovery strategies
Stay updated with latest ELK versions and best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications:

5+ years of hands-on experience in ELK Stack administration and implementation
Expertise in Elasticsearch cluster setup, scaling, and query optimization
Strong knowledge of Logstash pipeline development and log parsing
Experience creating Kibana dashboards and visualizations
Proficiency in Linux administration, scripting (Bash/Python), and networking concepts
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for ELK deployment
Strong understanding of security best practices (SSL, TLS, authentication, RBAC)
Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch API, JSON queries, and index management
Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools for ELK stack health

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

Experience integrating ELK with SIEM tools for security monitoring
Knowledge of Machine Learning features in Elasticsearch
Certification in Elasticsearch or AWS/GCP/Azure is a plus
