Trade Compliance Analyst APAC

We are looking for a Trade Compliance analyst in APAC to join our team.
What will you do 
The Trade compliance analyst APAC maintains and applies up-to-date regulatory expertise to ensure JCI and affiliated companies comply with U.S. and global regulations.
Analyzes and resolves trade compliance holds in Trade Automation (TA). Regularly interfaces with customer service and logistics, as well as other departments.

How you will do it

  • Performs day-to-day trade compliance operational support for the APAC region.
  • Review and resolve blocked documents and Trade Automation (TA) partners.
  • Research COO, ECCNs, and HTS using the company’s tools and the system data.
  • Identify and resolve transactions impacted by sanctions and escalate cases as needed.
  • Release false positive RPS matches, conduct enhanced due diligence, and escalate parties tied to failed screenings.
  • Interpret sanctions impacting transactions and export licensing requirements.
  • Participates in process improvement projects as required.
  • Analyze large data sets to maintain the master data in TA and communicate trends that can drive business decisions.
  • Interfaces with customer service and logistics to support trade compliance releases and communicate resolution promptly.
  • Performs audits to ensure compliance with global export regulations and record retention.
  • Supports integration projects between TA and the ERPs. Manages large project data.

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited professional college or university in Engineering or international business-related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of relevant trade compliance experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Advanced knowledge of ECCN and HTS classifications.
  • Knowledge of RPS is a plus.
  • Experience with ERP and trade compliance systems is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and communications skills.
  • Ability to adapt to rapid change, work with a sense of urgency, and effective time management.
