The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sr. Manager, Vendor Technical Management (VTM) to oversee process automation and assembly initiatives improving on suppliers’ performance and drive excellence across our vendor ecosystem. This role focuses on continuous improvement, risk management, asset health management, and lifecycle optimization to ensure the reliability and efficiency of all assets throughout the value chain. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring that technical, operational, and strategic objectives are met.

What You’ll Work On

Key Responsibilities:

1.    Supplier Performance Management:

           •  Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure alignment with company goals working with Procurement, Supplier Quality Assurance and Packaging Ops, R&D, Engineering, etc.

           •  Monitor and evaluate supplier performance against agreed-upon KPIs, SLAs, and technical requirements.

           •  Identify opportunities for supplier improvement and collaborate on corrective actions.

       

2.    Continuous Improvement:

           •  Drive initiatives to improve supplier processes, product quality, and service delivery.

           •  Implement industry best practices and innovative solutions to enhance supplier performance.

           •  Partner with cross-functional teams to implement supplier-driven improvements.

       

3.    Risk Management:

           •  Identify, assess, and mitigate risks within the supply chain, focusing on supplier operations and asset reliability.

           •  Collaborate with suppliers to develop contingency plans and ensure business continuity.

           •  Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to proactively address potential disruptions.

       

4.    Asset Health Management:

           •  Oversee the technical performance and condition of supplier-managed assets.

           •  Work with suppliers to develop maintenance strategies and predictive analytics to minimize downtime.

           •  Track and report on asset reliability, performance, and health metrics.

       

5.    Lifecycle Management:

           •  Manage the full lifecycle of supplier-related assets, from procurement and deployment to maintenance and disposal.

           •  Collaborate with suppliers to optimize asset lifecycles, ensuring cost-effectiveness and sustainability.

           •  Provide recommendations for technology upgrades, replacements, or decommissioning based on lifecycle data.

       

6.    Technical Collaboration:

           •  Act as the primary technical point of contact between internal teams and suppliers.

           •  Ensure suppliers meet technical specifications and regulatory compliance for all new equipment.

           •  Facilitate resolution of technical issues and provide support during new product introductions or transitions.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferably in Plastics Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in a technical automation and assembly equipment roles including equipment URS development and acquisition, vendor technical management, technical operations, or supply chain roles.
  • Proven track record in driving supplier performance, managing risks, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of asset health and lifecycle management principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with specific technologies related to automation equipment and vision systems.
  • Experience with data analytics tools, DOEs, and techniques for predictive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements for nutritional food and   beverage industry

MISC:

  • This is an on-site role - not a remote role.
  • Travel – 25% - 50%

The base pay for this position is

$127,300.00 – $254,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
