GoDaddy is looking for a UX leader to help build, shape, and push our design teams to the next level through excellent content design. As a UX Manager for the UX Content Design team, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the strategy for delivering seamless experiences across all our products for our customers.

UX Content Design brings human, user-focused language to our product experiences. Content Designers collaborate with end-to-end product design teams to ensure that each product we launch meets the team's goals, fits our brand voice and style standards, and delivers a customer experience that's clear and compelling. With the goal of helping our customers grow, they write the words that guide, empower, simplify, and support; they’re an advocate for our users, connecting business needs with experience outcomes.

As a UX leader, your responsibilities will extend beyond empowering the Content Design designers; you will also influence strategy, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and collaborate company-wide to drive success. This includes elevating UX, coaching on content strategy and execution, and driving unified voice for GoDaddy, collaborating with other leaders to establish strategic plans, goals, and tactics. You will also create and maintain processes that support our designers.

  • Mentor team members to develop professionally and improve their impact within GoDaddy through direct and timely, actionable feedback.
  • Be responsible for all people processes – retaining talent, balancing workloads, and ensuring the team has access to information and tools needed to perform their jobs effectively.
  • Implement best processes and practices that accelerate efficiency and alignment.
  • Be a strategic, creative problem solver and work to improve our UX through a unified messaging strategy that adheres to our voice and style.
  • Collaborate effectively with other UX leaders, product managers, researchers, product marketers, and brand strategy.
  • Be an active contributor and participator in group critique and constant iterative improvement, guiding sessions in a team environment and fostering design thinking into the common vernacular.
  • Advocate for design excellence, craftsmanship, usability, accessibility, brand voice, and overall user experience.

Your experience should include...

  • 3+ years of experience managing a UX Design and/or UX Content Design team.
  • 3+ years of experience doing quality UX Content Design or UX Design work, strong design thinking skills, and demonstrable experience working with product design teams in an agile environment.
  • Clear track record of problem resolution, team leadership, and time in a role with at least 3 direct reports, demonstrable experience developing and retaining talent.
  • Experience developing and adhering to product strategy. Outstanding organizational skills and problem-solving skills, experience working through ambiguity to create a plan forward.
  • Experience working with and/or developing style guides and content design systems, and a firm grasp of grammar and style rules. Masterful writing skills.
  • Experience articulating design concepts and rationale to both technical and non-technical collaborators. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience learning new subject matters quickly, implement feedback, give constructive input, and positively contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

You might also have...

  • Bachelor of Arts degree or Master of Arts degree in interaction design, communication design, industrial design, HCI, or related field.
