About the role
Appfire is looking for a Technical Writer to enhance our technical documentation through multimedia content, including videos, Arcade demos, and other engaging formats. This role will also focus on expanding Appfire’s knowledge-sharing efforts beyond traditional documentation by contributing to the Atlassian Community, blog posts, and social media.
You will report to the Technical Communications Manager and be a member of the Technical Communications team.
This role requires you to work from India with collaboration across global teams.
Your everyday tasks will include:
- Creating technical videos and Arcade walk-through demos to explain Appfire products.
- Writing community posts, blog articles, and use cases to support customer education and product adoption.
- Collaborating with internal Product Managers (PMs), Product Marketing Managers (PMMs), and Technical Writers to create engaging content that increases awareness and activations for Appfire products.
- Working closely with the Tech Comms Technical Editor to establish and refine a Video Style Guide for consistency across multimedia assets.
Skills and experience you'll need to succeed:
- 2+ years of technical writing experience, particularly with multimedia content.
- 2+ years of video production and editing (Camtasia, Adobe Premiere, or similar).
- Ability to simplify complex concepts for different audiences through various content formats.
- Having experience with Confluence and Jira is preferable.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams.
