Job Title : Assistant Manager—Finance

Job Location : Bangalore (Hybrid)

Job Summary -  The Assistant Manager, Finance is responsible for supporting the financial operations of the organization, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective budget management. This role involves assisting in financial planning, analysis, audits, and risk management while collaborating with internal teams to enhance financial efficiency. The position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide strategic financial insights to support business decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Support the accounts payable process by creating vendor profiles in NetSuite, reviewing submitted invoices in Coupa and evaluating G/L mapping.
  • Understand and apply both local and US GAAP accounting principles.
  • Support month-end close activities (preparing and reviewing JEs, reconciliations) ensuring compliance with both local and US GAAP.
  • Support HQ Finance with various month-end close activities (which could include global banking, fixed assets, accounts payable/procurement, revenue recognition, balance sheet account reconciliations, etc.).
  • Support statutory audits and other statutory compliance.
  • Support post-merger & acquisition integrations (provide input on the plan: consolidating systems, merging data, ongoing reporting, timing, etc.).
  • Leverage close management software (FloQast or similar systems) to ensure timeliness and completeness of the close activities checklist.
  • Lead and participate in cross-training with other finance team members.

Role/Experience

  • Chartered Accountant/Certified Public Accountant (min 2-3 years)
  • Big 4 public accounting experience, nice to have
  • Multi-national company experience, nice to have
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite,  particularly MS Excel
  • Operating experience with NetSuite and Coupa
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the ability to escalate appropriately
  • Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities; must be a self-starter who takes initiative in and ownership of completing projects and assignments timely
  • Ideally, this person should be based in Bangalore
