Dental Admissions Advisor

We’re thrilled to offer an exciting opportunity for a dedicated, compassionate and enthusiastic dental student to join our team as a Dental Admissions Advisor! With 2000+ students expected to enrol in our 2025 UCAT & Interview Courses, this role is a first-of-its-kind professional service aimed to support these students and their families. Equipped with our comprehensive training and support, you’ll use calls, texts, emails and 1-on-1 Zoom consultations to support families through the complicated and intimidating process of applying to dental school!

We’ve carefully designed this role to be perfect for a dental student, with highly flexible and remote work to fit into your busy schedule, competitive pay ($40/hour), and the opportunity to work exclusively with a high-performing and supportive team of like-minded medical and dental students. This is a calling for someone eager to share their experience while making a lasting impact on the next generation of aspiring dentists!

Who Are We

We are Australia’s fastest-growing medical/dental preparation company, specialising in comprehensive, innovative and results-driven UCAT and Interview preparation which empowers students to gain admission into medicine and dentistry. 200+ of our 2024 students received offers into medical/dental school for 2025, including 73 offers into Monash, 53 into UQ, 47 into JMP (UoN/UNE), 46 into UNSW and 42 into Adelaide Uni!

Our UCAT & Interview programs are characterised by engaging group lessons, abundant resources and 24/7 support, as well as industry-first initiatives such as Australia’s first Simulated UCAT Testing Centres and Free 1-On-1 Admissions Consultations. Our students achieve record-breaking UCAT results, including the World Record UCAT Score of 3590 (2023), a 3060 Median (2024), 1 in 2 score 90th Percentile (2024), and 43 x 99th Percentile (3350+) students (2024).

Over 2000 students and 80 staff have joined us since our founding. Last year, we successfully expanded our in-person Live Testing Centres to Brisbane and Sydney, with over 1000 bookings, and hundreds of new enrolments from all over Australia. We now have permanent in-person centres in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, and will be expanding to Perth and Adelaide in April 2025. Key Responsibilities

• Complete Our Comprehensive Initial & Ongoing Training: As the role is a highly specialised service, we’ll provide you with an in-depth and up-to-date understanding of academic thresholds, application procedures, and unique considerations for each student! We’ll help you develop your adaptability, interpersonal skills, and a sense of empathy towards students and parents so that you can understand both their aspirations and anxieties.

• Responding to Student, Parent & Staff Enquiries via Text/Email/Call: As so many schools and websites provide insufficient information on the constantly-evolving tertiary applications processes, we receive dozens of queries every week about ATAR/UCAT/pre-requisite requirements, recommended pathways and so many more admissions-related topics! This is where you come in - using your knowledge and experience to demystify this daunting process and bridge the gaps between the UCAT, ATAR and interviews. 

• Running Specialised 1-On-1 30-40 Minute Consultations: These tailored consultations are where we create, adapt and document formal application plans for students and their families. We run them at key touchpoints throughout the year for every enrolled student, such as Post-Enrolment, Post-UCAT, Post-Interviews, Post-Offers etc, with dedicated documents and training for each! This is often the most fun and impactful part of the role!

This isn't a regular admin or tutoring role where you'll deal with boring paperwork or rude customers. Instead, you'll have the opportunity to talk to dozens of parents and students every week. You'll get to have banter, they'll share fun stories, and you'll also get an opportunity to be a supportive figure in the students' final years at school.

There is a large and rapidly growing interest from new students for our admissions program, so you'll have many opportunities to talk to people and let your personality shine. We know that as current dental students, you would recall the daunting process that is applying to dentistry. In this specialised role, we want you to share your stories and experiences with students and help them grow confidence in their chances of successfully gaining entry into dentistry! 

Comprehensive Training & Support

Working in a collaborative environment and an energetic team can be a fantastic opportunity to hone your interpersonal skills and learn so much along the way! 

When you join, you'll be properly onboarded with all the support and personal feedback you need to settle in, and you'll work closely with our Admissions Team Leader and the rest of the team to upskill and refine your communication and problem-solving skills. You'll also be thoroughly introduced to our admissions knowledge base, our CRM software, our consultation documentation, and our current UCAT and Interview course structures.

By the end of your training, you will feel comfortable running 1-on-1 admissions consultations, responding to texts/emails and taking calls to enhance students’ experiences! You'll also be engaged with the rest of the team through routine catch-ups, and over time you'll receive further perks and work opportunities.

Expected Work Hours

• Minimum 10 Hours Weekly Shifts
• Highly Flexible Work Schedule! You’ll have the freedom to decide which days and times you prefer to work each week! The only restriction is that students are unavailable for calls and consultations during school hours :) 

Compensation

Experience Requirements

• Mandatory
• 💯 Completed VCE/HSC/QCE (or equivalent)
• 📜 Completed the UCAT 
• 🎓 Currently Studying Dentistry in Australia
• Ideal
• 🕒 Prior tutoring, mentoring or leadership experience
