Senior Product Manager - AI for Engineering Productivity

Splunk, a Cisco company, is building a safer and more resilient digital world with an end-to-end full stack platform made for a hybrid, multi-cloud world. Leading enterprises use our unified security and observability platform to keep their digital systems secure and reliable. Our customers love our technology, but it's our caring employees that make Splunk stand out as an amazing career destination. No matter where in the world or what level of the organization, we approach our work with kindness. So bring your work experience, problem-solving skills and talent, of course, but also bring your joy, your passion and all the things that make you, you. Come help organizations be their best, while you reach new heights with a team that has your back.
About the Role:
The Engineering Enablement & Engagement team is seeking an innovator to drive the development and execution of AI strategies that enhance SDLC tooling, workflows, and the overall engineering experience. In this role, you will identify, propose, and deliver high-impact AI solutions that improve software development's efficiency, velocity, and quality. You will use your deep understanding of AI technologies, software engineering practices, and SDLC methodologies to find opportunities, drive tool innovation, and measure outcomes and value. In addition, you will be responsible for tracking the timelines, delivery, risk management, and reporting on the overall execution of each initiative in a program management capacity.
This role is vital to changing how our engineers build, test, and deploy software. You will work closely with dev ops and product development engineering leaders to implement progressive AI solutions in different phases of the SDLC. With each implementation, you will be accountable for demonstrating its success and value.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Use your product management capabilities to:
  • Create roadmaps and plans based on engineering needs and level of impact
  • Glean insights from engineering data to identify use cases and propose high-value solutions that address key friction points
  • Engage with engineers to gain a deep understanding of how Splunk software is designed, developed, tested, and deployed
  • Present data-driven proposals to technical leadership to influence strategies and goals
  • Collaborate closely with dev ops, IT, and information security teams to drive the end-to-end implementation of AI solutions that improve SDLC efficiency
  • Contribute to the development of AI strategies for different phases of the SDLC
  • Drive evaluations, experiments, and proof of concepts of AI solutions that contribute to technical decision-making and initiatives
  • Define, implement, and share metrics to demonstrate utilization, productivity outcomes, and operational impact
Leverage program management skills to:
  • Handle delivery timeline, execution risk, and overall program management of initiatives
  • Engage with legal, information security, procurement, and finance to ensure that solutions meet compliance and finance standards
  • Engage with vendors to understand capabilities while establishing trust and influencing their roadmap
  • Lead internal awareness and enablement campaigns to drive adoption of new AI solutions
  • Be an advocate for AI use cases and standard processes by creating or participating in communities of practice across Splunk and Cisco
Who You Are and What Makes You Qualified:
  • 5+ years of product or program management or related experience, preferably with an AI focus building roadmaps, prioritizing user needs, and use cases
  • Broad understanding of the genAI, LLM, and agentic AI landscape as it relates to software development
  • Background experience developing software in C++, Java, Python, Javascript, or similar programming languages
  • Analytical and data-driven: can use data and business intelligence tools to define metrics to measure baselines and outcomes
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related degree
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in using software development tools and services such as VSCode, GitHub, GitLab, Cypress, Gradle, Maven, CircleCI, Selenium, SonarQube, Jenkins, Artifactory, Kubernetes, or others
  • Experience with experimentation and delivery of AI-powered experiences
  • Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience handling the ideation, technical development, and launch of internally-facing software products
