Job description

This is a remote position.


Job Highlights:
  • Contract type: Independent Contractor
  • Expected to work approximately 40 hours per week, during Eastern Standard Time Zone hours of 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Summary / Objective
The accountant role is involved in all areas of accounting. The accountant is primarily responsible for journal entries, reconciliations, inter company reconciliations, and special projects.


Essential Functions
  • Record various journal entries
  • Balance Sheet reconciliation (ex: bank, intercompany, accruals, prepaid, etc.)
  • Intercompany coordination and reconciliations
  • Support accounting month-end close process
  • Supportive team member for AP & AR
  • Prepare ad hoc requests and projects as needed
  • Fluctuation analysis of expense account activity to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate that will be conducive to maximizing employee morale, productivity, and efficiency/effectiveness
  • Project a favorable image of the company to promote, foster, and enhance public recognition of the company and its products and services

Education and Experience
  • Accounting Degree
  • Minimum of two years of experience in accounting
  • Minimum of one year of balance sheet revonciliation experience
  • Advanced Skills in Microsoft Office (excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Training
  • Complete all required by the company training programs and job-specific training for continuous improvement.
