The role requires a results-oriented and target-driven approach to achieve success and offers flexible working hours, with varying daily commitments based on client needs.

Responsibilities:

Source advertisers through various channels, including in-person meetings, email, telephone, and social media platforms for the publication/platform and special publications.
Meet/exceed monthly output and sales targets consistently.
Generate and follow up on sales leads and provide comprehensive after-sales service.
Negotiate and finalise advertising space according to company guidelines and client specifications.
Take client briefs and offer guidance and advice as necessary.
Brief editor or graphic designer on client requirements.
Source prizes and sponsors for competitions.
Build and maintain a network of contacts and sources.
Complete sales-related administrative tasks.
Assist in ensuring prompt payment by clients.
Willingness to attend networking events as required.

Business Development

Research and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base.
Contribute to developing compelling sales pitches, proposals and presentations.
Conduct follow-ups with leads and ensure conversion into long-term partnerships.

Requirements

Proven experience in advertising sales or related field preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Results-oriented mindset with a drive to meet and exceed targets.
Excellent negotiation and persuasion abilities.
Familiarity with advertising and media industry trends.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Highly organised with attention to detail.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising Sales, Business Development, or related field preferred.
