Accounting Analyst

About the role

As accounting analyst, you will ensure the smooth running of the accounting cycle, register documents, prepare accounting reconciliations, taxes and reports for state entities. Your support will be indispensable in the month end close, among other functions.

Minimum qualifications
 

• At least 4 years of proven accounting and taxes experience
• Knowledge in IFRS and USGAAP
• Experience with the complete accounting cycle
• Experience with Colombian Taxes is a MUST
  
• Fluency in written and spoken English is a MUST
• Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge

Preferred qualifications

• Startup experience is a huge plus
• Experience working remote is a plus
• Experience handling Big 4 Audits is a plus

Responsibilities

• Register accounting documents
  
• Reconciliation and analyysis of the general ledger
• Reconciliation of banks
• Prepare all JEs related with revenue recognition, expenses and cogs
• Building taxes of Colombia (IVA, ICA, Rtefte, Rtelca)
• Building Exogenous information
• Work on the month end close closely with the Accounting team lead
• Suggest improvements to accounting process
• Support in audit  requirements.
