The Role You Could Play:
Our State Managers are the ultimate conductors in MECCA's symphony of positivity, inclusiveness, and high performing teams! Reporting to the General Manager of Retail, you will lead your state as you partner closely with your regional team and Store Managers to drive store performance and strengthen our culture through engaging, developing and retaining talent.
Along with driving strategic initiatives, you will lead by example to deliver exceptional customer service, build and maintain customer relationships and utilise your strength in communication to drive a culture where the education, improvement and development of your entire team is paramount.
Some key responsibilities will include:
Leading a team of Regional Managers and Store Managers to deliver exceptional service to our customers every day
Partnering with Support Centre teams to build and drive the business’ strategic priorities and project pipeline
Build engagement with your team by ensuring your stores have a positive high-performance culture, and ensure our customers look and feel their best at all times
Lead as the ultimate MECCA Brands values ambassador, ensuring a high standard of behaviour is maintained within your teams.
Identify opportunities to improve store-based KPIs and are capable of allocation of resources in order to meet the needs of the business Ensure operational effectiveness across your store network
Participate in recruiting and onboarding talent across all roles including Hosts, Specialists and Managers
Support the strategic delivery of our new store pipeline
What you will bring to the team:
Extensive retail leadership experience, strong interpersonal skills and a passion for operational effectiveness are essential to be successful as State Manager.
You will also have:
Extensive multi-site retail management experience and a track record of results, leading retail regions with 500+ team members Previous experience managing wage costs and budgeting, in line with business needs
Strong commercial skills, with the ability to autonomously make decisions in line with your strategic objectives and raise risks when required
An unrelentless pursuit of operational effectiveness with demonstrated back of house experience
A genuine care about people, who always sees through the eyes of the customer and team to ensure the best customer and team member experience
An ability to think big and long-term, and drive change through influencing others
Strong coaching communication style with an ability to lead with empathy in care whilst driving performance
Organisational skills and a proven track record in operating within a remote role
