Job Description:

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of Sr Staff Software Engineer - Infinia Control Plane in Poland. Senior Software Engineer for the Infinia Storage engineering team who will architect, design, build, manage and deliver components of INFINIA software storage solution:

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement and support Infinia platform software components.
  • Drive design discussions, build prototypes and contribute to deliver high quality products
  • Conduct code reviews and improve scalability, stability, reliability and performance of INFINIA solutions
  • Collaborate with your teammates and integrate a group of passionate developers in an outcome-oriented environment
  • Adopt Agile practices and support appropriate technical meetings/scrums and message progress/status/concerns
  • Providing regular reports on your project progress to team members and supervisors.
  • Contribute to and validate product documentation.
  • Assist with performance tuning of features for specific environments and use-cases.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high quality deliverables.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills and should be self-starter.
  • Participation in a team on-call rotation providing seven-day week out of hours coverage, including the provision of after-hours and weekend support work when required
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to independently prioritize, multitask, and work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or equivalent degree/experience.

Skills and Experience:

 

  • 4-8+ years of hands-on experience developing Linux platform software for hardware management and monitoring.
  • Experience in developing and debugging at system and application level, particularly for Linux computing environments.
  • Required:  hands-on development experience with IPMI, Redfish, BMC, BIOS, server/device firmware management
  • Required:  2+ years Golang programming experience, familiarity with Git, Github.
  • Desired:  knowledge of NVMe storage technology, Infiniband, Ethernet adapters, distributed key-value systems, knowledge of Linux administration, hardware bringup experience, C/C++ programming experience.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high quality deliverables.
  • Strong team player with good communication skills and should be self-starter.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to independently prioritize, multitask, and work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This position requires participation in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support as needed.

Interview Process: After submitting your application, one of our recruiters will review your resume. If your application passes this stage, you will be invited to a 30-minute interview during which a member of our team will ask some basic questions. If you clear the interview, you will enter the main process, which can consist of up to four interviews in total:

 

  • Coding assessment: Often in a language of your choice.
  • Systems design: Translate high-level requirements into a scalable, fault-tolerant service (depending on role).
  • Real-time problem-solving: Demonstrate practical skills in a live problem-solving session.
  • Meet and greet with the wider team.
  • Our goal is to finish the main process in 2-3 weeks at most.
