Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst with experience in the Life Insurance industry, specifically in policy conversion and system migration projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to ensure seamless data migration, policy conversion, and system transitions while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Gather and document business requirements related to life insurance policy conversions and system migrations.
Conduct gap analysis between legacy and target systems to identify process improvements.
Collaborate with IT teams to define data mapping, cleansing, and transformation strategies.
Work with actuaries and underwriting teams to ensure accuracy in policy conversions.
Develop and execute test plans, UAT scenarios, and validation processes for policy data conversion.
Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party vendors.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in the insurance domain.
Support post-conversion issue resolution, troubleshooting, and process optimization.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the Life Insurance industry.
Strong knowledge of life insurance products, policy administration systems, and underwriting processes.
Hands-on experience with policy conversion, data migration, and system integration.
Familiarity with data mapping, SQL queries, and reporting tools.
Understanding of insurance regulations, compliance standards, and actuarial concepts.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with major Life Insurance platforms such as Guidewire, ALIP, DXC, FAST, or FINEOS.
Prior experience with mainframe-to-cloud or legacy-to-modern system migrations.
Knowledge of business process modeling (BPM), API integrations, and automation tools.
