Job description

What is Flagstone?

Flagstone is many things. An online savings platform, reinventing how individuals, businesses, and charities manage, protect, and grow their cash. A diverse group of people, bound by a collaborative spirit, and shared purpose. And lastly, a thriving, profitable business – where smart people do their best work.

Each definition shares a common thread: our unique culture. It's our pride and joy. And our competitive advantage.

A feel for our culture

To revolutionise the savings market, we need to be at our best. But high performance takes more than talent – it takes a culture of kindness, respect, and growth.

That's why we're building a diverse, inclusive community, where your voice is heard and valued. Where, with close support and room to develop, you can surpass even your own expectations. And be rewarded for it.

We may not change the world, but we can change the world of financial technology. And all it takes is a winning mix of drive, talent, and empathy. Our culture celebrates all three.

But enough about us. Let's talk about you.

Does this sound like you?

You are an experienced Senior Business Analyst with a passion for driving meaningful change and a strong commitment to helping others grow. You have a deep understanding of business analysis techniques, process design, and change management methodologies. You're excited about the opportunity to take on line management responsibility and mentor other Business Analysts, while forging new ways of working across agile, cross-functional teams. You thrive on translating business needs into actionable requirements and turning challenges into opportunities. Working closely with operations team members and product managers, you'll play a key role in delivering impactful outcomes.

What You'll Do:

As a Senior Business Analyst at Flagstone, you'll play a lead role in process design and improvement, working closely with operations and product teams. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking a lead role in process design and improvement, driving initiatives to optimise business processes, and ensuring high standards in process documentation (as-is / to-be).
  • Conducting and producing business analysis for squads and projects, translating business needs into clear, actionable requirements and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Taking on line management responsibility, coaching and mentoring other Business Analysts, helping them develop their skills, and ensuring the team consistently delivers high-quality analysis.
  • Collaborating with operations team members and product managers to identify business challenges and translate them into actionable opportunities, aligning requirements with business goals.
  • Facilitating workshops and decision-making sessions to help teams achieve optimal business outcomes, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Ensuring business analysis practices are aligned with agile principles, refining and adapting approaches to meet the evolving demands of the business.
  • Acting as the process champion, identifying inefficiencies and working to eliminate waste in processes, while supporting continuous improvement.
  • Serving as the Risk Champion within assigned change initiatives, managing risk mitigation strategies, and ensuring readiness for change.
  • Developing and executing change readiness plans, including training and risk mitigation strategies to ensure the success of change initiatives.

What You'll Bring:

  • Experience: At least 8 years in a Business Analyst or similar role, with a minimum of 2 years in a Senior or Lead position. You should also have at least 2 years of people management experience, including coaching and mentoring Business Analysts.
  • Process Design and Improvement: Strong experience leading process design and improvement efforts, with a focus on mapping processes (as-is / to-be) and optimising business operations.
  • Agile Methodologies: A solid understanding of agile methodologies and experience working in agile, cross-functional teams to drive innovation and introduce new ways of working.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven experience in line management and mentoring, with a focus on supporting others' growth while driving best practices within the business analysis team.
  • Stakeholder Management: Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders at various levels and ensure alignment on change initiatives.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into actionable solutions, while spotting opportunities within challenges.

We value those who are naturally curious, willing to challenge the status quo, and eager to innovate within a rapidly evolving business environment. If you thrive in collaborative, agile settings, have a passion for process improvement, and enjoy mentoring others, we want to hear from you!

How we reward you:

At Flagstone, the benefits extend beyond false gifts like "fruit and snacks". Instead, we invest in your health, wealth, and professional development. Here's a selection of our benefits:
