Position Overview:
The Data Analyst role is pivotal for steering data-driven decisions and strategies. This position primarily focuses on extracting and analyzing data from various sources using automated tools. The responsibilities include developing and maintaining databases and data systems, ensuring data integrity by rectifying corrupted data and fixing coding errors, and using statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Use automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources
Remove corrupted data and fix coding errors and related problems
Develop and maintain databases and data systems
Perform analysis to assess quality and meaning of data
Using statistical tools to identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction
Prepare reports for management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data
Work with executives, managers and business analysts to identify process improvement opportunities, propose system modifications, and devise data governance strategies
Prepare analysis reports for the stakeholders to understand the data-analysis steps, enabling them to take important decisions based on various facts and trends
Drive initiatives through the Microsoft Power Platform applications including PowerBI dashboards
Train end-users on how to read reports and use dashboard
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Attention to detail and effective problem-solving skills.
Ability to work with project teams to define, analyze, and meet customer needs.
Knowledge of Microsoft Technologies, Networking, Desktop Support and Security. Certifications with any of the above technologies are a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent years’ experience.
2+ years of experience related to data analysis/modelling in a software domain.
Experience working in a product-oriented environment alongside software engineers and product managers.
Experience with a business Intelligence suite and the modeling of business data.
Preferred:
Experience with Python in a full production deployment environment
Experience working with Azure
Experience writing complex SQL queries for MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other RDBMS
Experience designing and building data visualization reports within PowerBI and Tableau
Proficient in MS Excel including Power Query or Power Pivot
Demonstrated experience in handling large data sets and relational databases
Excellent problem-solving skills, and the self-motivation to improve skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
