🎭 About the role

We’re looking to continue growing our globally distributed software engineering team. We’re looking for critical thinkers who enjoy owning and solving hard problems throughout the stack.

What you’ll be doing (i.e. job duties):

• Enjoy end-to-end ownership of critical pieces of our application
• Leverage (and continue to hone) your skills in defining technical requirements alongside members of the product and design teams
• Write and review architecture and design documents, while developing well-architected and highly testable solutions, and deploying, maintaining, and operating applications in production
• Participate in code reviews and have a key role in helping us continue to develop our processes and the ways we work together
  
  
  

What we look for in you (i.e. job requirements):

• 5+ years of experience as full stack engineer
• Excited about the prospect of building software that helps solve a global problem
• Expertise in developing API-based applications using Java (particularly Spring Boot)
• Deployment and operation experience on a public cloud provider
• Database modeling experience
• Intentional about testing approach
• Thoughtful and deliberate problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communicator who can effectively share relevant information with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Able to thrive at a startup, i.e., in a fast-paced environment with high levels of ambiguity
• Team player that’s ready to wear many hats!
  
  
  

Nice to haves/Bonus Attributes:

• Fintech/payments experience or experience in any other regulated software environment
• Front-end Javascript framework experience and comfort with front-end development
• 0 to 1 product development experience
• Public-facing API development experience
• Kubernetes experience
• Spanish and/or Portuguese language proficiency is a plus
