Position Overview:
Accenture's Industry X is seeking a dynamic and experienced PLM Test Engineer with deep domain expertise in Digital Engineering and PLM space. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Functional & Technical testing of PLM configurations & Customizations. Responsible for testing Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) applications, ensuring that all features, functionalities, and integrations work as intended. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop test strategies, create test plans, execute test cases, and ensure the quality and performance of PLM solutions. Your expertise will be critical in validating system integrity and driving improvements to deliver reliable and effective PLM solutions.
This role demands a professional who deliver transformative solutions, support PLM Delivery Manager in project delivery. The primary industry focus will be on Semiconductor, Automotive, MedTech, Industrial and Battery industries. The position is based in Malaysia, and a proven track record in Southeast Asia is crucial.
The work
Develop detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product requirements, functional specifications, and technical documentation.
Define testing strategies and methodologies for various stages of the PLM lifecycle (functional, regression, integration, performance, etc.).
Identify testing requirements for different PLM modules, configurations, and integrations with other enterprise systems like ERP, CAD, and SCM.
Perform manual and automated testing of PLM solutions, including testing workflows, user interfaces, system integrations, and data models.
Execute functional, integration, regression, and performance testing to ensure the quality and reliability of the PLM systems.
Identify, document, and track defects, working with development teams to prioritize and resolve issues.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for repetitive testing tasks to increase efficiency.
Leverage testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, QTP) to automate test cases and ensure consistent results across different environments.
Continuously improve test automation processes, tools, and frameworks to ensure high-quality delivery.
Identify, report, and track defects using issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira, HP ALM) and ensure timely resolution.
Perform root cause analysis on defects and collaborate with development teams to determine corrective actions.
Ensure comprehensive reporting on the progress of testing activities, defect trends, and overall quality.
Conduct performance testing to ensure that PLM applications meet scalability and performance benchmarks.
Work with performance tools to simulate real-world conditions and identify system bottlenecks or areas for optimization.
Report on performance issues and work with the development team to resolve them.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, preferably in PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter, Windchill, ENOVIA, etc.).
Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing tools and techniques.
Experience with software testing methodologies, including functional, integration, regression, and performance testing.
Knowledge of Product Lifecycle Management processes and systems is highly desirable.
Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, QTP).
Familiarity with PLM tools and platforms like Teamcenter, Windchill, or Dassault Systèmes.
Strong knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or Shell) for test automation.
Experience with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, HP ALM, Quality Center).
Knowledge of databases and SQL for test data management and validation.
Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git, SVN) and build automation tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with PLM-related integrations, such as ERP, SCM, and CAD.
Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) or PLM platforms.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and working within Agile teams.
