VinAudit.com checks for the most serious problems for automobiles, classic cars, buses, trucks, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, motor homes, and tractors.

VinAudit.com Inc. is a data and analytics startup specialized in automotive data. Since launching in 2011, VinAudit.com has aggregated billions of vehicle-related records, helped millions of consumers evaluate a car purchase, and served thousands of automotive businesses with access to our unique datasets. Our head office is in Washington State, USA, and we have a subsidiary in Canada.
We are now seeking software professionals to grow our business. You would be joining a team of around 50+ individuals who work remotely and globally including in the United States, Canada, the Philippines, India and Pakistan, and China
Work Setup:
Preferred location: Remote, supporting US-based business
Core work hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm Pacific Time (US)
Compensation and Benefits:
USD $2,600-$3,100 per month, depending on skill level

Responsibilities:
Leading the design, implementation, and rollout of key backend systems and data products.
Managing production systems to maintain high quality and reliability for our clients.
Collaborating with other developers and team members to promote our collective growth.
Developing and maintaining documentation for software systems and applications.
Mentoring junior developers to help them improve their skills and knowledge.
Optimizing our production systems to be as maintenance-free as possible.
Data scraping
Opportunities:
Leading major development initiatives from design to deployment.
Leveraging our original datasets to tackle unsolved, industry-wide problems.
Optimizing our systems and processes across the full stack.
Exploring new ideas around data-oriented web businesses.

Do you have a passion for software development that extends beyond school and work?
Have you completed some meaningful side projects that you can tell us about?
Are you comfortable with Linux, Python, SQL databases, and similar technologies?
Do you have experience of designing, building and supporting a production system from scratch?
Are you comfortable working remotely and independently while staying in good communication with various stakeholders?
This is a unique and challenging role that will require someone who is able to jump in independently on new projects, communicate clearly with our distributed team, and write a lot of well-organized code each day.
