We are currently seeking a highly motivated and bilingual Sales Representative to join our team. This remote position, based in Japan, offers an exciting opportunity for a dynamic professional fluent in both Japanese and English. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving business growth, building strong client relationships, and promoting a cutting-edge portfolio of scientific products to customers in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue goals within the Japanese market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers in the scientific research and diagnostics sectors.
  • Provide expert product knowledge and tailored solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Conduct virtual and occasional in-person meetings to deliver product presentations and demonstrations.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align on strategies and share insights.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, including reports and forecasts, using CRM tools.
  • Support customers throughout the sales process, ensuring a seamless experience.

About Repserve

At Repserve we lease sales professionals to overseas companies on a shared-time basis, allowing firms to enter new markets or grow in existing ones.

Our Reps have a maximum of 3 complimentary (never competing) clients. They answer all calls and emails at all times but manage their physical client time to suit the time allocation selected by the client.

This role is for an allocation of 100% of your time.

Your day-to-day expenses will be covered (ie petrol, parking, tolls, mobile call charges, etc.) Larger expenses such as international travel, hotels, and large group entertainment should be approved by your client prior to incurring.

Your client will be encouraged to pay a sales commission based on performance. If they choose to do this, the structure of their commission scheme shall be discussed and agreed between you and your client.

Qualifications

  • Must reside in Japan with the ability to work remotely.
  • Fluency in Japanese and English (both spoken and written) is required.
  • Proven experience in sales, preferably within the scientific or life sciences industry.
  • Familiarity with chemiluminescence, fluorescence, or related technologies is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Self-driven, results-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and other sales tools.
