Job description

The Direct Bill Analyst plays a key role in managing and reconciling direct bill insurance brokerage commissions and billing processes across Property & Casualty (P&C) and Life & Health (L&H) lines. This position involves collecting and reconciling commission statements, verifying revenue receipts, resolving billing discrepancies, and ensuring accurate financial records.


Your Impact:


  • Collect and reconcile direct bill commission statements from carriers/brokers across Property & Casualty and Life & Health lines; post direct billed cash receipts and prepare bank deposits
  • Manage carrier login credentials, ensuring proper security and access for retrieving statements and verifying transactions; update and maintain carrier/broker banking information for each branch office to ensure timely and accurate payments.
  • Ensure that all commission statements received have been reconciled before the close of each month.
  • Compile and analyze financial data for special projects as assigned by the Supervisor.
  • Utilize Comulate, Epic, AMS360, BenefitPoint, WorkSmart (ImageRight), and Smartsheets to record financial entries and ensure accuracy; solid knowledge of Microsoft excel, outlook, word and teams is required.
  • Cross-train on various direct bill functions across Property & Casualty and Life & Health lines to ensure workflow continuity during peak periods or staff absences.



Successful Candidates Will Have:


  • 2+ years of experience in direct bill accounting, accounts receivable, or insurance accounting a plus
  • Experience with Comulate and other financial systems is highly preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions), Outlook, Word, and Teams
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Required to work overtime during peak times, month-end and year end as needed.
  • This is a remote position, but minimal travel may be required for training, meetings, or other collaborative activities.

At Risk Strategies Company, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings, The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay range for this position is between $55,000.00 - $65,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
