Responsibilities
This is a remote position. Working Hours CST / EST.
Primary duties of the Billing Specialist are to collect, peruse and record payments for physical therapy services. The Billing Specialist must have in-depth knowledge of insurance claims, attention to detail and the ability to demonstrate high productivity in regards to data input, must be willing to work as a professional and demonstrate an ability to do what it takes to ensure smooth clinic operations and customer needs. Essential duties will require the Billing Specialist to research and take steps necessary to resolve unpaid insurance claims and to discern issues related to non-payment. The Billing Specialist will often act as liaison between insurance carrier while working to resolve unpaid claims and/or accounts.

Qualifications
Billing Specialist Requirements:
Adherence to laws and best practices in regards to dealing with patients and data
Must possess accuracy and attention to detail, review data, and correct discrepancies in patient accounts
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
Exceptional customer service skills
Billing Specialist Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Two or more years of patient account management experience in either a hospital or physician practice setting is preferred
Basic accounting skills are required
