ASRC Agile Decision Sciences, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Spectrum Management Engineer to support our ongoing support to our NASA programs.
Key Role
Conduct spectrum engineering analysis using modeling and simulation tools and other commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software to perform spectrum compatibility analyses in conjunction with the NASA Spectrum Analysis Center
Provide technical support related to the electromagnetic spectrum and telecommunications systems analysis including all terrestrial and space systems supporting NASA operations
In partnership with the NASA Spectrum Analysis Center, provide technical expertise and analysis to support domestic and international engineering studies.
Provide technical expertise to support collaboration and participation with other Agency spectrum organizations to meet the Agency’s requirements and mission needs for spectrum allocations, assignments and coordination in national spectrum management organizations
Support the NASA Spectrum Office activities and tasks in technical preparations for the World Radio-communication Conference (WRC) and ancillary meetings for any future WRC.
Support the preparation and advocacy of technical contributions to appropriate ITU-R Study Groups and Working Parties to support the integrity of NASA spectrum allocations and missions
Requirements
Must be able to obtain a government issued Secret clearance.
Ability to travel, if necessary.
Bachelor's Degree is required, preferably in an engineering field, such as electrical engineering or a related field.
Minimum of three to five years’ or more of relevant work experience is required.
Knowledge and experience with modeling and simulation tools; such as, MATLAB and STK
Competency in performing electromagnetic compatibility and radio frequency interference analyses
Knowledge of general U.S. and international spectrum management procedures, regulations and policies.
Knowledge of satellite communications engineering concepts to include space and ground network systems
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Preferred/Desired
Prior experience in supporting spectrum management and engineering activities of federal agencies
