ASRC Federal NetCentric Technology is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for Army C5ISR mission-critical systems. We are seeking a Senior Test Engineer to support the Army program management office at the Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning -
Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for NETOPS systems, which are software used to perform network operations, management, and security tasks for the Army Tactical Network.
Support the development and maintenance of Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs) and Test and Evaluation Strategies (TESs) in accordance with Army Test and Evaluation Guidance, Policies, templates.
Collaborate with Army stakeholders, including network engineers, operators, and cybersecurity specialists, to identify and prioritize testing requirements.
Coordinate test resources, including equipment, personnel, and facilities, to support test events and ensure successful test execution.
Test Management -
Oversee the execution of tests, including identifying defects and reporting results to ensure NETOPS systems meet Army functional / non-functional requirements.
Review test reports and lead root cause analysis and corrective action for issues found during testing, ensuring defects are properly identified, documented, and addressed.
Process Improvement -
Identify and maintain relevant metrics for assessing success of test and evaluation.
Identify or assess recommended improvements / tools to improve test and evaluation efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Skills And Knowledge
Active DoD Secret clearance or higher
Knowledge of the Army Tactical Network architecture
Experience with Current Army NetOps tools, as well as Army soldier roles / responsibilities and process.
Strong experience with Department of Defense (DOD) software test planning and execution, including test design, test case development covering both functional and non-functional requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead root cause analysis and corrective action.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with Army stakeholders, test teams, and other team members.
Additional Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related technical discipline and 5 -7 years of experience or equivalent
Four (4) additional years of direct relevant technical experience or relevant military service may be substituted for education.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Army system/software acquisition program testing support.
Experience with Army network test and test tools, including network simulation, emulation, and traffic generation tools and techniques.
Experience employing Agile Test Principles, with knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools.
Experience using DevSecOps tools / environments (e.g. Atlassian, Gitlab)
Work Location: APG, MD
Telework Eligible: Yes, following PEO C3N contractual policy of minimum onsite days at APG, MD
Travel Expectation: ~50% CONUS; potential for future OCONUS support travel.
