Annual Compensation: $110,000 - $113,000

Under general direction of Infrastructure Director, responsible for overseeing planning, implementation, and maintenance of GMRs server, storage, foundational services and cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a broad technical background and ability to work with and direct the activities of a dispersed team of engineers. This role entails management of technical staff in transforming GMR infrastructure to future focused hybrid on-prem/cloud environment in alignment with business goals and strategy. Server Engineering Manager has a strong focus on environment stability, modernization, cloud enablement, and data security and integrity.
Responsibilities
Management of technical staff in performance of planning, implementing and maintaining IT core services and systems.
Lead special projects pertaining to implementation and support services of technology products.
Liaison with Security and Compliance teams to ensure data security, integrity, availability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Manage relationships with vendors and value add re-sales (VARs) including QBRs and renewals.
Direct staff in the creation and maintenance of support documentation for core infrastructure systems and services.
Maintain business SLAs for uptime and responsiveness.
Develop and maintain team cohesiveness and intra/inter-departmental relationships.
Assist in the mentoring, guiding and development of staff skills.
Travel required - 15%.
Qualifications
Education & Industry Experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related field) or equivalent experience.
Minimum 7 years in IT technology at engineering or higher level.
Minimum 4 years in leadership position of IT engineering staff.
Experience in vendor/VAR management.
Experience with business continuity policies, platforms, and best practices
Experience working with compliance frameworks.
Strong technical skills in infrastructure technologies and standards with hands-on experience.
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Strong analytical, problem solving, teamwork and customer support skills
Presentation skills including content adjustment based on audience
Understanding of working in a fast-paced, public safety environment that operates 24/7/365
Ability to interact effectively with end-users, peers and management.
