Visit.org is looking for a passionate and ambitious Director of Operations to join our remote team. The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing fulfillment planning, shipment network design, and optimization strategy, ensuring seamless supply handoff to external partners and end-users. Lead end-to-end global shipping operations. The right candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, extreme passion for our mission, and the energy and discipline to come in and be a builder in a start-up tech environment.

Responsibilities
Oversee and manage global end-to-end ship and delivery logistics planning and end-user supply chain network design and its continued support.
Plan and initiate the purchase of all supplies, identifying and analyzing departmental cost savings opportunities regarding operating supplies and expenditures.
Ensure that goods are efficiently stored, transported, and delivered on time, including managing importation/customs clearance process into jurisdictions outside the U.S.
Develop relationships with, and manage performance, of wholesalers and delivery networks responsible for providing materials around the world.
Lead contracting and price negotiations with external partners.
Oversee team to evolve strategies, bringing integrated and innovative solutions.
Carry out all relevant line management responsibilities including performance reviews and goal-setting
Focus on immediate and urgent business needs while driving long-term strategic plans and capability and organizational development.
Work closely with the product team to develop product features
Develop a departmental playbook outlining key processes and standard operating procedures to streamline interdepartmental collaboration and vendor engagement.
Lead global expansion by identifying and establishing new markets and office locations, including strategic research and understanding of customs regulations.
Oversee data collection processes and collaborate with the product team to develop and enhance dashboards for operational insights.
Drive strategic decision-making on inventory management and join forces with other departments to optimize operational processes.
Qualifications
7+ years of related professional experience in operations leadership providing services in B2B corporate environments
6+ years of experience in supply chain management with a group purchasing organization, or manufacturer.
Leverage advanced expertise in contracts, negotiation, and vendor management to secure optimal pricing for materials and transportation; bring experience in launching products and building logistics operations in international markets.
Proven management skills with experience building and sustaining global teams.
Demonstrated leadership experience including driving the development of employees.
Demonstrates a high level of leadership, strategic and creative thinking, and problem-solving in an operations role
Superior organizational skills and systematic-minded approach
Strong analytical background and mastery of analytical tools
Experience working in a fast-paced startup environment

Salary range $115,000 to $130,000 DOE; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A range of benefits may include bonus, equity, healthcare benefits, paid time off may be provided as part of the compensation package.
