The Job

We are looking for a Python Developer to take ownership of a local codebase and transform it into robust, production-ready software. This role is ideal for a problem solver who enjoys untangling complex systems, improving efficiency, and delivering scalable automation solutions. You will work with business process automation, API integrations, and data synchronization to streamline operations and enhance system reliability.

This is a part-time role working 10-20 hours/week. If you thrive in an agile, problem-solving environment and enjoy optimizing workflows, debugging, and refining automation, this is the role for you.

What You'll Do

Analyze, refine, and optimize an existing Python codebase to improve stability and performance.

Design and implement scalable data workflows that integrate with various business platforms.

Work with APIs and synchronization tools to ensure seamless data flow between systems.

Automate repetitive tasks and business processes, improving operational efficiency.

Develop error-handling and monitoring mechanisms to ensure system reliability.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Follow best practices for code maintainability, documentation, and testing.

Who You Are

You have strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to tackling technical debt.

You have a track record of building maintainable, well-tested code in production environments.

You have an ability to work autonomously and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders

Experience You’ll Need

Strong Python development experience, including structuring and optimizing codebases.

Hands-on experience with API integrations and working with third-party services.

Ability to work with databases (SQL or NoSQL) for structured and unstructured data.

Experience in debugging, performance optimization, and automation.

Familiarity with workflow automation and data synchronization challenges.

Experience That's a Plus

Experience with business process automation and integrating multiple SaaS tools.

Knowledge of event-driven architectures and handling real-time data synchronization.

Familiarity with cloud-based services and deployment best practices.

Understanding of containerization and CI/CD workflows.

Experience working with Airtable, HubSpot, Stripe, or similar platforms.
