Our client is looking for an Accounting Assistant who will be responsible for entering accounts payable, managing the accounting inbox, sending out lien waivers to vendors, assisting in tax filings with various jurisdictions, and completing various other tasks in support of the Accounting/Finance team and the Chief Financial Officer.
WORK SCHEDULE: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time (9:00 PM – 6:00 AM Philippine Standard Time), follows Philippine holidays
POSITION TYPE: Full Time
WORK ARRANGEMENT: Remote
Essential Functions
Review invoices to ensure they follow the client’s procedures
Update vendor information as needed
Input vendor invoices and work orders daily
Check vendor bills for discrepancies
Pull specific spreadsheet data for weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
Enhance the client’s reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different tasks
Assist in required payroll tax filings
Handle all other job-related duties as requested, delegated, or assigned
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred
2 years of related experience preferred
Strong computer aptitude, which includes expertise with Microsoft 365 applications
Solid understanding of preparing and reviewing spreadsheets
Strong organization, oral and written communication skills
Strong data entry skills
Experience in a multi-client environment
Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
Aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation
Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
