About the Role:

We are seeking a QA Test Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for manual and automated testing of desktop applications developed in C#, ensuring that they meet both functional and performance standards. You will also work with SQL databases and Azure DevOps to support testing and deployment, with a specific focus on the manufacturing industry and CAD-related software solutions.

You will be integral to ensuring that our products are thoroughly tested and optimized before they reach our customers, working closely with developers and product teams to identify and resolve issues early in the development lifecycle.

Availability during 7am IST to 4 pm IST is a requirement for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform manual testing to validate functionality, usability, and performance of C# desktop applications.
  • Design, write, and execute automated test cases in C# using frameworks such as AutoIT, MSTest, NUnit, or xUnit.
  • Develop and execute test cases for various software modules, ensuring high-quality product delivery.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to support database testing and integration for desktop applications.
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage for new features and bug fixes.
  • Work with Azure DevOps to integrate test cases into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring seamless and efficient software deployment.
  • Participate in the identification, reproduction, and resolution of defects and performance issues.
  • Provide feedback to the development team, track test progress, and ensure alignment with project timelines.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in manual and automated testing, with hands-on experience writing test cases in C# using tools such as AutoIT, MSTest, NUnit, or xUnit.
  • Experience in testing Windows-based desktop applications developed with C# and frameworks like WPF or WinForms.
  • Proficiency in SQL, including writing and optimizing queries for testing and database validation.
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps for continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a keen eye for identifying defects and performance issues.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex software issues.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and other QA team members.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with cloud-based integrations and distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for desktop applications.
  • Background in testing software for the manufacturing industry, with a solid understanding of CAD design, 2D/3D modeling, and drawing tools.

What We’re Not Looking For:

This is not a software development role. Candidates with a focus on web or mobile development, or those with less than 3 years of experience in testing desktop applications, will not be suitable for this position.
