Job Summary:
The Lab Integration Project Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting laboratory interfaces between Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Lab Information Systems (LIS). You will be the primary person to support, design, develop, test, debug, install, implement, and modify new or existing interface integrations. In addition, you will use your expertise to provide inter-department consultation, training, documentation, guidance, and monitor applications and services, all in the name of meeting our quality standards.
Essential Duties and Other Responsibilities:
- Lead and drive interface integration implementation efforts with performing laboratory integration teams.
- Authors, reviews, and negotiates interface specification documents between LabConnect, partner, and contracted laboratories.
- Provide communications such as go-live notices, support documentation, technical documentation, and operational checklists to the internal organization.
- Responsible for escalating implementation and support issues to appropriate persons or groups for resolution.
- Prepare recovery procedures, user guides, and other supporting documentation.
- Troubleshoot laboratory interface discrepancies in structure formats.
- Resolve integration or mapping issues; methodically approach problems or processes to troubleshoot and resolve.
- Develop application and integrated test scripts and plans for thorough validation and to ensure quality.
- Investigate interface, application, and service issues, perform root cause analysis and take corrective actions.
- Receives and responds to all queries relating to specific clinical data import stream and documents the outcome from the query.
- Communicates and coordinates with internal stakeholders to ensure queries are being resolved and delivery deadlines are met.
Education/Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree or university program certificate, or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of related experience in the clinical laboratory or clinical trial industry, including interface with LIMS or LIS systems and/or clinical trial project management .
- Prior experience with Mirth/NextGen Integration Engine or experience with similar integration engines, strongly preferred.
- Experience in clinical laboratories or clinical trial labs and with FDA 21CFR11/GCP, strongly preferred.
- Experience with interfacing between different systems and a variety of data formats (e.g., HL7, XML, CSV) , strongly preferred.
- Experience working with varying vendors of LIMS or Labs on connectivity projects , strongly preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to make quick, well thought out decisions.
- Ability to adhere to established timelines, processes, and procedures.
- Strong planning and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivating and ability to work well independently as well as using a collaborative team approach.
- Excellent organization and time management skills, communication, multitasking, interpersonal and listening skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Customer service/client relationship management skills.
Working Location/Hours/Travel:
- 100% Remote
- Ability to work standard business hours, including core hours of 9am - 3pm EST.
- Limited travel to Johnson City, TN
