We have an exciting opportunity for a HR Business Partner to join our busy, expanding team covering the Yorkshire and North West area. This role will be crucial within our Health in Justice service, and is a rare opportunity to make a difference to patient healthcare! As our service expands to non-custodial settings, this exciting new role will allow you to be a key part of the brand new service, and help shape the service we offer!


This is a regional role, covering Yorkshire and the North West. Your base will be at home and you will be required to travel frequently to our sites in Yorkshire, Humber, Lancashire and Cumbria.


You will be also be required to travel to London or Theale (Reading) for HR team meetings on an ad hoc basis.

Hours

This is a part time role, working 22.5 hours per week (3 full days or 2 full days and 2 half days would be considered) and is fixed term for 12 months, with scope for extension.


Salary

The salary for this role is up to £57,000 pro rota - dependent on experience plus car allowance (pro-rata).

As our new HR Business Partner, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

  • Position the role of HRBP as an integral part of the regional management team by developing effective working relationships, influencing change and providing constructive challenge
  • Ensure management capabilities within the region/s is developed to meet required standards, lead the analysis of management capability and succession planning
  • Equip managers with appropriate tools and knowledge to effectively manage their teams; act as the change advocate encouraging buy-in with approaches to increase management capability and utilise services delivered via the HR helpline
  • Lead the development and implementation of a regional People Plan to support our People strategy of: Get, Grow, Keep and support services to develop local People Plans
  • Provide expert advice and guidance in support of transformational change, restructures, TUPE and redundancy; ensure commercially focussed approach to improve cost and efficiency
  • Support and maintain oversight of all employee relations activity within your regions, to ensure employee relations are effectively managed and supported, with conclusion of cases within reasonable timescales
  • To work in partnership with the Recruitment team to ensure all vacancies within the relevant services are filled cost effectively and with minimal time to hire periods. To contribute to the management of operational recruitment within the units at levels to be agreed.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for someone who has previously worked at a HR Business Partner level within a fast paced and complex organisation, preferably within the healthcare sector.


You will have demonstrable change management and employee relations experience. Up to date knowledge and experience of managing TUPE is also essential. Chartered membership of the CIPD is desirable.


Qualifications

  • CIPD qualification is essential (ideally level 7, or equivalent)
