We are the only supplier of national terrestrial television and radio broadcasting services in the UK, consistently delivering digital TV, analogue and digital radio to people in all four corners of the country. We also distribute over 1,000 channels internationally using our fibre and satellite infrastructure.
Our advanced, dedicated networks are also supporting the management of critical data and content for connected devices including smart TVs and smart meters for water, gas and electricity.
Location We operate a flexible, hybrid working environment with the candidate required to travel to our Winchester up to twice a week.

Role Purpose
Provides direction and leadership for the Test & Release team for testing and release processes, ensuring that operational systems and infrastructure meet or exceed agreed standards and requirements.
The role
Manage resourcing, tools and capabilities required for all testing activities within the team.
Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies and plans.
Ensure effective coordination and communication with development and product teams.
Responsible for the test automation strategy and overseeing its execution.
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of test results to stakeholders.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in testing processes and methodologies.
Provide leadership and guidance to the testing team.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Manage self & task role model Arqiva’s culture goals with the team, building respect and credibility; set a high-performance bar and challenge the team to deliver sustainable results, by developing the skills and capabilities of the team and focusing on outcomes.
Manage relationships & communications connect, collaborate & lead communication transparently, balancing face to face and virtual, with own team and teams across the business to encourage cross-functional understanding, agreement and knowledge sharing.
The person
Substantial experience in software testing or a related field
Extensive experience in leading complex testing projects and automation initiatives.
Experience in managing and leading testing teams.
Qualifications A degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is advantageous.
Skills
Software testing - understanding of software testing principles, methodologies and tools.
Test Automation - Proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks.
Programming languages - Proficiency in programming languages Analytical and technical problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues
Communication skills - collaborate with cross-functional teams, present technical info and provide training or support
Project management - ability to manage one or multiple projects or project tasks and meet deadlines
Project planning - Ability to create project schedules, allocate resources, define milestones and track progress
Relationship management - ability to foster relationships (and network) with external vendors, suppliers, industry peers, etc.
Leadership and Management - management proficiency in influencing, analysis, decision making, empathy, communications, and adaptability
