NSF is hiring an Audit Delivery Manager to provide leadership, strategy, and direction for all operational aspects of the NSF- Nutrition and Wellness audit management services to achieve growth and profitability targets of assigned region. To provide management to assigned Lead Auditors and all audit team members to ensure the efficient delivery of all NSF- Nutrition and Wellness audit services in support of NSF’s global mission.

Responsibilities

  • Select, train, develop, motivate, and maintain a competent workforce to provide audit services for NSF- Nutrition and Wellness customers and monitor and evaluate their performance.
  • Directly supervise assigned senior lead auditors and auditors providing leadership and development to all NSF- Nutrition and Wellness audit delivery staff.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring annual operating plans and budget for Nutrition and Wellness auditing services, along with other necessary reports, consistent with corporate strategies and operating plans.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to NSF- Nutrition and Wellness team in estimating and planning audit services utilization based on audit demand, required client audit distributions, and define the necessary processes evolutions to improve the NSF- Nutrition and Wellness operational performance.
  • Manage a NSF- Nutrition and Wellness auditor performance dashboard (set of KPIs) based upon auditor efficiency and quality of performance and establish required action plans for auditor performance achievement as necessary to deliver process improvements and profitability.
  • Measure and monitor internal improvements to improve efficiency and customer service.
  • Accountable for the development of work plans for Nutrition and Wellness audit team members.
  • Conduct 3 rd party audits as assigned for 25% of the time (approx. 4.5 audit days/month)
  • Perform witness audits to maintain auditor competency and performance.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures, checklists, and records as necessary.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with the Senior Manager, Global Audit Delivery Nutrition and Wellness.
  • Monitor and resolve client needs, service delivery issues, technical interpretations and competitive threats escalating to Director if necessary.
  • Manage auditor performance within assigned area of responsibility using efficiency, quality of work and utilization plan as metrics.
  • Exercise coordination functions with various company departments such as the technical and operations teams.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental health, related science, engineering, or business.
  • Seven (7) years related industry work experience in safety and quality.
  • Four (4) years supervisory or management experience including managing team leaders and direct staff.
  • Demonstrated leadership success.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well as a team member and leader.
  • Certified as a consultant or auditor in one and eligible to become certified in a minimum of two (2) Standards (455-2 Dietary Supplements, 306GMP- For Sport, 455-3 Cosmetic)
  • Two (2) years experience providing third-party audit services.
  • Ability to work independently from remote (home-based) location.
  • Ability and willingness to work varying hours as needed to effectively address work needs.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
  • Must maintain a valid, unexpired state issued driver’s license.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Qualified to obtain a professional registration (environmental health or related profession).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in environmental health, related science, or business.
  • A minimum of five (5) years experience of successful management and leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated effective skills in leadership, communications and teamwork building.
  • Demonstrated effective skills in decision making, analysis, and direct management of resources
