The Vacancy

Binnies, an RSK company are looking for an experienced IT Manager to join our growing team, overseeing IT operations for Binnies UK (700+ staff) and Australia (15+ staff).

Reporting to our Operational Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and secure functioning of all IT systems, applications, hardware, and software across both regions.

What You’ll Do:

  • Guide and manage Binnies’ IT strategy and operations across the UK and Australia, ensuring security, performance, and alignment with our business needs.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of 3rd Party IT service providers, ensuring efficient incident resolution, timely service delivery, and continuous service improvement.
  • Collaborate with the RSK Divisional IT Manager and Binnies teams to drive system efficiencies, particularly around Projectwise, enhancing team usage and product development.
  • Manage the IT budget and ensure value for money, driving key investments and aligning with Binnies’ business aims.
  • Develop IT policies and best practices, ensuring compliance with ISO 27001 standards.
  • Foster a culture of learning by implementing training programs and workshops to enhance staff IT literacy and security awareness.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, advising on future IT strategies and solutions.


Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an IT Manager or in a similar role, with a strong background in technical management and systems optimization.
  • Expertise in IT systems, software, hardware, and cybersecurity practices.
  • Experience with IT service management and working with 3rd party providers.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 27001 compliance, risk management, and cybersecurity practices.
  • Excellent communication, team-working, and guiding skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, manage budgets, and align IT aims with business goals.
