Position:
We are have an opportunity for a Business Development Consultant specializing in the Public Sector.
This role offers remote work flexibility and involves frequent travel across the UK, with occasional trips to Head Office which is based near Ipswich.
The successful candidate will focus on developing a sales pipeline by leveraging existing contacts and exploring new opportunities. A deep understanding of IAPT, the NHS, Trusts, ICB’s, and experience in government sector business development are vital for this role. Responsibilities include managing tendering responses.
In collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will drive the strategic sales direction of the business, emphasizing short, medium, and long-term growth opportunities. Additionally, you will support the Head of Client Relations in enhancing existing client relationships and identifying new service prospects.
You will:
> Research new business opportunities/requirements, schedule appointments and prepare presentations for pitching to new clients both from the tendering pipeline and personal contacts.
> Respond to and follow up on sales enquiries using the required tools and methods.
> Work with the various business teams and take responsibility for all tender opportunities from identification through financial sign-off and submission to ensure the strongest tender responses and maximise presentation shortlisting.
> Present proposals in tender situations; respond to contractual issues (working with the SLT).
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will have the following essential criteria:
> Practical understanding of strategic growth planning
> Demonstrates a track record of sales target achievement greater than 2million per annum
> Experience in Sales and New business development within the healthcare market across multiple sectors NHS to Corporate
> Experience in overseeing successful end-to-end bid processes including from content to submission of tender in the public sector, especially the NHS
> Experience in presenting to executive and board-level stakeholders across multiple sectors
> Experience in creating, planning and executing sales strategy in chosen sectors
